Sarah Finkle is a Brooklyn based artist, and an Upstate New Yorker at heart. Working with mostly natural fibers she is fascinated by the role textiles play in our daily lives and explores this through her work creating wearable sculptures using wool roving and other large fibers.
She has most recently been exploring the comfort and protective elements that these materials can give us in her exaggerated sweaters, head pieces, and full body shelters. She hopes to continue to explore these relationships in her creation of ever larger interactive fiber environments.
